Challenge 13 – Three Peaks

The weather was kind to us last week as we travelled to three different locations for the three peaks challenge.  I was joined by the family (Bhim, Rich, Brit and Rio our dog).  We started our  adventure in the Lake District, climbing Scafell (978m).  It was a steady, hot climb!  Near to the top there were some very large challenging boulders!  Bhim and I then continued to Fort William, in readiness of Ben Nevis (1345m).  We started off early and got to the top for lunch.  Another steady climb, some quite steep parts and snow on the top with lovely views.  And then onto LLanberis to climb Snowdon (1085m).  Joined again by Rich, Brit and Rio, we climbed in the mist to reach the summit. No views, only light cloud/mist, but felt good to have climbed on Robins birthday – to fulfil one of his dreams.  Robin had hoped to climb Snowdon to raise funds for the Willow Foundation who provided him with a special day, so I am so proud that we have been able to fulfil his wish.
